October 3rd-5th 2025
The New England FOOLS in cooperation with the Williston Fire Department are proud to present a three-day program unlike anything New England has seen. Three days of live-fire hands-on training in two acquired structures featuring five different learning tracks. A combined Engine track, Truck track, and Thermal Imaging track, a Rapid Intervention track, and First Due Boss for both Company and Chief Officers.
Everyone attending the full weekend will have the opportunity to do BOTH the Engine and the Truck Track, as well as Thermal Imaging.
Engine & Truck Company Operations: Each individual will have the opportunity to perform a full set of engine & truck company skills evolutions in a residential setting with realistic heat, smoke and fire conditions. Engine/Truck will consist of skills evolutions on both Friday evening and Saturday.
Rapid Intervention: This is a separate track that will help you become the Firefighter YOU want coming to YOUR rescue when YOU need help. This track will include two and a half FULL days of hands-on evolutions, skill sets, and scenarios designed to test YOU, the firefighter. These lessons will be delivered under realistic heat, smoke and fire conditions.
Thermal Imaging: These evolutions will be conducted on Sunday morning and be available to ALL attendees. Innovations in technology have played their part in pushing the fire service forward. The widespread adoption of TICs introduced a newfound efficiency for fire ground tasks such as scene size-up, hot spot identification, search and rescue, and hazard detection. All attendees will have the opportunity to learn more and sharpen their TIC skill set under live fire conditions.
First Due Boss: This is also a separate track; First Due Boss track is designed to present and enhance the skills of those who are responsible for initial command actions on the fire ground. Participants will be learning and reviewing skills in the subjects of; Incident Size-up, Building Construction, Incident Stabilization Priorities and Effective Command Tactics. There will be TWO offerings of First Due Boss, the first will be for Company Officers, while the 2nd will be for Chief Officers. Make sure your choice is clearly marked.
The program cost is $275 for non-FOOLS members, $250 for FOOLS members. Lunch included both days. Check, money order, municipal purchase order, PayPal and Venmo accepted. Be sure that you CLEARLY mark Engine/Truck or RIT on your application.
The application deadline is September 19th, 2025. Engine/Truck is limited to 48 students, RIT to 24, First Due Boss program will be limited to the first ten (10) PAID registrations received.
