“THE FRANK SAGI TRIBUTE RACE WITH SPECIAL GUESTS BOOPER BARE, BARRY KLINEDINST AND DAVE WILT” RESCHEDULED & RESTRUCTURED
Hagerstown, MD. The rained out “Frank Sagi Tribute Race with Special Guests Booper Bare, Barry Klinedinst and Dave Wilt” has been rescheduled for Saturday night, July 12th, at Hagerstown Speedway, with a few changes.
Both Hoosier and American Racer tires will be eligible to compete in the Super Late Model portion of the show, which is now being run unsanctioned, but still paying $5,000 to win for the 35-lap feature. Both tire companies have pledged incentive bonuses for the top finishers competing on their brand of tires.
Another change to the event will be Hagerstown’s regular Semi-Late and Pure Stock divisions joining the program. Bonuses provided by a large list of assembled race sponsors will be available to all drivers participating in all three divisions.
What hasn’t changed with the event is the day will kick off with the Auto Racing Club of Hagerstown picnic behind the grandstand area, starting at 1:00. Next up will be the “Meet ‘n Greet” autograph session with honorees Booper Bare, Barry Klinedinst and Dave Wilt and a host of other star drivers from Hagerstown Speedway’s past, beginning at 4:30. Fans will be given, free of charge, brilliant multi-color drawing prints created by racing artist Jeff Lindsay. Other free gifts will also be distributed to fans, so make plans to arrive to the track early and claim your prizes!
Special presentations and interviews will be held in front of the grandstands at 6:30 with honorees Bare, Klinedinst and Wilt, followed by hot laps at 7:00.
The event will not be available on any streaming service, so the only way to take in the action is to be there in person.
Make plans to attend the return of Super Late Models to Hagerstown Speedway on Saturday, July 12th, for the “Frank Sagi Tribute Race with Special Guests Booper Bare, Barry Klinedinst and Dave Wilt”!
