If anyone wants the wish as much as Ansgar, it’s downtrodden housewife Josephine. After her husband’s death, she's visited by a cat that eerily resembles him. Because of her husband’s past meddling with magic, she believes he bespelled himself into the animal. With the wish, she plans to free him from cat-form and save herself from destitution. If her quest fails, at least she’ll have one grand adventure to remember.

Ansgar isn’t pleased when fate forces him to travel alongside the hopeful widow and the cat his wizardly intuition says is not her husband.
