On Saturday, December 13th at 10:00 am, we will be meeting for our next monthly cleanup event with the Wichita RiverWalk Cleanup Crew. We will be meeting up near the Lincoln St. Dam. We will officially be meeting at 1251 S Palisade St. To get there you will need to turn south off of Lincoln onto Waco, and then follow Waco around until it turns. There is minimal parking at the dam, and then once those spots are full, there should be plenty of parking along the street, just please watch the No Parking signs.
Anyone and everyone is invited to help out, but please leave pets behind (for safety reasons). If you have children with you, please keep an eye on them, but otherwise we love having kids around.
Wear a pair of sturdy shoes that you are okay with getting dirty. Also, please wear appropriate clothing for picking up trash. All bags and gloves will be provided.
Any weather-related cancellations or changes to schedule will be posted here. We'll plan to get together unless it is below freezing or there is ice or snow on the ground.
This will be an event that happens on the 2nd Saturday of every month so if you can't make it to this one, please try to make it to a future event. Any amount of trash we can remove from the area around the river will be a great start to keeping our river clean
