Grief Training for Group Facilitators

Wichita Recovery Hub is proud to sponsor a special Grief Training for Group Facilitators—a transformative workshop designed to equip those who lead or support others in group settings. This training is ideal for anyone who wants to deepen their understanding of grief and trauma to better serve individuals navigating loss.


Led by Nick and Charla Shaffer of Irresistible Hope Ministries, this interactive session will provide practical tools, compassionate insight, and the confidence needed to support groups impacted by grief. The Shaffers are certified grief educators trained under world-renowned grief expert David Kessler. Drawing from both their professional training and personal experience—including the profound loss of their daughter and multiple miscarriages—they offer powerful, faith-rooted guidance and encouragement.


Whether you're currently facilitating a group, preparing to step into a leadership role, or simply seeking to grow in empathy and skill, this training is a meaningful step in becoming a stronger presence for those who are hurting.
