In order to practice yoga as outlined by Patanjali, we want to encourage our students to commit themselves to a thoughtful, continuous practice. To best accomplish this, we are now offering a 4 week session. Students are highly encouraged to attend every class during their session, as well as 1 additional classes per week. This methodology relies on repetition and memorization and we find that committing to 3 times per week is the best way to get the best benefits. Access to all classes on the schedule will be complimentary while you are taking this course.
Ashtanga yoga is extremely popular and inspires fierce loyalty in its students. This vigorous, athletic style of practice appeals to those who like a sense of order and who like to do things independently.
Asthanga Vinyasa was developed by K. Pattabhi Jois. The primary series, also called Yoga Therapy, is intended to realign the spine, detoxify the body, and build strength, flexibility, and stamina. Poses are taught in sequential order and are the same for every class, every time. However, no two classes ever feel the same in the body or the mind.
In this session learn the foundations to breath, poses and alignment. Small class size and one-one-on in-depth instruction guarantees you confidence and ease in your yoga journey.
