One Truth Fellowship Statement
We gather in fellowship because human beings thrive in connection. Decades of research confirm what sages have always taught: when we meet in trust and presence, our lives are lengthened, our health is strengthened, and our spirits are lifted. The Harvard Study of Adult Development shows that the quality of our relationships is the greatest predictor of lifelong happiness and well-being. Mindfulness and contemplative practices consistently reduce stress and open the way to greater calm and clarity. Positive emotions such as peace and joy, as psychologist Barbara Fredrickson has shown, build resilience, creativity, and deeper bonds among us.
The wisdom of the ages echoes this truth. Viktor Frankl reminds us that “Those who have a why to live can bear with almost any how.” Thich Nhat Hanh teaches that “Every breath we take, every step we take, can be filled with peace, joy, and serenity.” And Eckhart Tolle points to the stillness of presence, where Being is felt directly.
At One Truth Fellowship, we create space for this presence. We gather not to chase belief or dogma, but to share practices of attention, meaning, and kindness. In this circle, we celebrate peaceful joy as the surest sign that we are near truth.
When you feel a peaceful joy, that’s when you are near truth. This is why we meet.
