Session Description:
In this session, participants will learn the top ten pervasive culture killers, which can decimate a team's and organization's stability and effectiveness. Each destructive issue will be explained and then supported through storytelling via Dave's numerous client consulting experiences. The focus will then turn to stopping these common missteps that threaten organizational health. We will discuss both the prevention and the mitigation of culture killers. Attendees will walk away with skills to recognize culture killers when they appear and practical tools to overcome and eliminate them once they've been identified.
Learning objectives:
1) To understand the top ten things that negatively impact organizational culture.
2) To learn how to quickly recognize culture killers and assess what damage they may have already done.
3) To learn practical strategies and leverage simple tools to limit the impact of culture killers and take swift corrective action.
Bio of Presenter:
Dave Schwallier is a former consultant and trainer, currently serving as the Director of Growth Strategies from Riley Construction- overseeing sales, marketing, and overall strategic growth. He leads a team of nine sales and marketing staff in addition to providing training and coaching to Riley's vertical market leaders and executive team. As an internal and external advocate for strong workplace culture, team dynamics, and effective communication, Dave has adopted a framework for creating healthy organizational cultures. Outside of work, Dave spends time with his four children, enjoys staying active outdoors, and loves eating dark chocolate.
