You’d think after nearly a decade of running this experiment, we’d have our answer: Santa doesn’t just visit homes on Christmas Eve, he drops by museums too. And yet, like any good scientists, we’re committed to gathering rock-solid, reproducible, peer-reviewable evidence.
Last year, in an effort to finally see Santa in action, we upgraded our security cameras. Unfortunately, they were… let’s call it “optimistically positioned.” In the end, they captured only the briefest flash of a red coat, promising, but hardly the conclusive evidence the scientific community demands.
So as dedicated pioneers in the growing field of Santa-ology, we press on. The Great Stocking Experiment must continue until we have enough long-term data to prove our theory once and for all.
And this year, we’re aiming high, high enough that we’re confident we can finally submit our findings to the prestigious Journal of Santa-ology. We can't do it without you though!
Here's how you can get involved with the experiment:
Step 1: Decorate a stocking at the Beringia Centre.
Step 2: Kick back and enjoy a holiday-themed movie after you decorate your stocking.
Step 3: Leave your stocking with us and see if Santa fills it with treats!
Step 4: Pick up your stocking on Saturday December 27, Sunday December 28, or Monday December 29 during our regular hours (12 pm to 5 pm).
Regular admission applies. Free admission with museum membership.
