Join us at the Montana Western Legacy Center on Friday, October 24th from 3–5 PM for an intimate Trunk Show featuring the stunning hand-embroidered work of Brenda Friesz. 🌸
🧵 Brenda’s artistry tells the story of Montana through fabric, stitch, and thread—capturing the culture, landscapes, and wild beauty of the Treasure State. Born and raised in Montana, Brenda’s inspiration comes from her deep roots, her family, and the raw beauty of nature that surrounds her. She writes:
"Montana culture and landscape are conveyed and expressed on fabric through stitch and embroidery. Born and raised in the Treasure State, I’m continually inspired by family and the raw beauty. I was born, raised, married the love of my life, and became a mother of two beautiful girls in Montana. Joy for me is getting out in nature and sharing it on fabric. The whimsical side of my work is the Love I have for my beautiful family. They bring me all my happiness, peace, and all colors of the rainbow. Who could possibly want more…blessed!”

See that woman,
the one who hugs with her eyes
and smiles like she has some stories to tell.
She has a peaceful, badass energy
and walks with an air of curiosity.
She probably stares at the horizon more than in the mirror
and regularly sleeps under the stars.
I’d bet nature is her favorite gym
and she slathers on the sunshine and rain.
She sparkles when she gets inspired
lets her hair tango with the wind
and has skin that glows with marks of wonder.
You see that woman over there
who looks like she soaks up so much joy in life?
That’s whose beauty secrets I want to know.
