Guest Speaker: Hibernation with Dr. Henry Smith Jr. MD

This discussion will focus on the various ways our woodland creatures cope with winter, with an emphasis on the physiology of torpor and hibernation.

Henry F Smith, MD, is a pulmonary and sleep physician who has long practiced in our region. He has been a lifelong outdoorsman with a deep interest in the natural world and regional history. He is also a landscape photographer and writer. He is a frequent lecturer here at Nescopeck State Park.
