Into the Stillness: An experiential hibernation-inspired lino print workshop - Saturday 4 October

10.30am - 3pm

As the natural world slows and rests, take a moment to embrace the quiet beauty of hibernation. In this workshop, you’ll be guided through a reflective visualisation to connect with the stillness and renewal of the season.

Together, we’ll explore poetry and folklore surrounding hibernation and the creatures that embody it.Using these inspirations, you’ll create your own lino print, celebrating the themes of rest, retreat, and resilience. Your individual artwork will contribute to a collaborative collection of prints, and you’ll also take home your lino block to continue creating at your leisure.The session will include a simple introduction to linocut techniques, making it accessible for beginners while offering a creative space for those with prior experience. The focus is less on technique and more on immersing yourself in the creative process—connecting with the essence of hibernation and celebrating the quiet beauty of rest and renewal.

We’ll keep the group small—just six participants—to allow space for sharing and thoughtful exploration. Take home your carved lino block and a deeper appreciation for the art of slowing down.
Please bring with you an apron or wear appropriate clothing for printing.
