The Thick and the Clear

A dance performance. A weekend of conversation. A story that won’t let you keep your mask on. BareFace is Ballet 5:8’s staged retelling of Cupid and Psyche (through the lens of C.S. Lewis’ Till We Have Faces)— a female-driven tale of love, jealousy, and the case against the gods.

The Thick & the Clear invites you into sessions and discussions that are thick with meaning and clear with grace, culminating in the performance of BareFace. Featuring David Bates, Karl Johnson, Terry Glaspey and a special appearance by Jim Beitler.
