Pathways of History - Morris County

Pathways of History is a free, self-guided tour of museums and historic sites across Morris County.

For the Fall event, The Canal Society of New Jersey will once again be at Hugh Force Park, site of the only completely restored lock and tender's house on the Morris Canal Greenway. Learn about the lock operation on the canal, and enter the beautifully furnished tender's house and office to understand how a lock tender family lived and worked. Stroll along one of the longest watered sections of canal on the Morris Canal Greenway.
