Music has always been a bridge between cultures, places, and people. Join us for a special hometown performance of From Ceylon to Aotearoa, before the show travels south to Auckland.
Sri Lankan-born and now based in Northland, Aotearoa, André Gomesz is a multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter whose music traces his journey from the shores of Sri Lanka (Ceylon) to life in Aotearoa. His performances blend heartfelt originals with reimagined covers, constantly adapting and evolving with the musicians who join him.
The Frequencies are the incredible community of artists André loves to jam with. Every show is a living, breathing experience, shaped by the energy of the moment. This Whangārei concert flows from intimate acoustic storytelling to soaring full-band energy and improvised songs, closing with deep bass grooves and electronic wubs to keep the vibe alive as the night winds down.
