Sunday 5th Oct, join me @stepfordstudios for a collective contribution to @kayla.powers 'Sowing Seeds' community art piece.
These seeds will be added to an interactive exhibition in the Saugatuck Centre for the Arts.
Kayla says, "During the exhibition, every visitor will be invited to take a seed home with them. It's a living metaphor for how the natural world offers itself to us freely - and how we might, in turn, offer something back"
In the spirit of reciprocity that is at the heart of Kayla's piece, this workshop is FREE, with remnant and recycled materials and gentle guidance provided throughout.
You can, of course, bring your own fabrics if you have something specific you would like to include.
I will be bundling the seeds up and sending them off in time for the exhibition, which takes place Nov - March.
