Why do Catholics pray for the dead - and what difference does it make?

October is what many people call 'spooky season'. Skeletons, ghosts, graveyards - everywhere we look, we're reminded of death and fear. But the Church also gives us this season to remember death - not to frighten us, but to draw us closer to Christ. In fact, the days right after Halloween - All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day - remind us that death is not the end.

Join us to explore the beautiful Catholic tradition of remembering and praying for those who have gone before us. Together, we'll look at Scripture, the Catechism, and practical ways to grow in hope, charity and connection with the Communion of Saints, as we approach All Souls' Month.

Please note: This event is for young adults in their 20s and 30s. If you're outside of these age ranges and looking for fellowship, please don't hesitate to reach out to us and we will connect you with some awesome brothers and sisters in Christ.
