Westport Make Your Own Mug Workshop

Join me in Westport at Phelan Hall for a fun and creative 3-hour workshop where you’ll learn to craft your very own unique mug  and the best part is, no pottery wheel needed!

I’ll guide you through the pinch pot method and demonstrate how to build a one-of-a-kind mug from scratch. Whether you’re keen to make a bold sculptural piece like a boob mug or face mug, or prefer something classic and functional, the possibilities are endless and completely up to you.

This workshop is perfect for absolute beginners! No experience necessary. It’s a relaxed, hands-on class suitable for ages 12+.

Included in the Workshop Fee:

✔️ All clay and materials

✔️ Use of tools

✔️ Instruction and guidance

✔️ Clear glazing and two firings

✔️ One finished mug (ready in 6–8 weeks)

✔️ Optional but you’re welcome to bring your own snacks!

After the workshop, your mug will be taken back to St Arnaud for firing and glazing. You can pick it up once it’s ready, or we can arrange shipping (individually) at an additional cost.

Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting clay on. If you have long nails or are pregnant, please bring your own surgical gloves,  long nails can cause your piece to crack before it even reaches the kiln.

Do you offer deposit?

To book your spot, message me at 022 691 1883. A 50% deposit is required via bank transfer, with the remaining balance due on the day of the workshop. Please note: deposits are non-refundable, as materials and preparation will already be in place.
