From Dark Skies to Space Travel: The Guide to Astrotourism

Caitríona Mosk from the Connemara Astronomy Club will be giving a talk on September the 30th at 8.00pm in the Hotel Newport.

Caitríona is a National Tour Guide based in Ireland, an aurora hunter, and a passionate astrophotography enthusiast. She combines her love of astronomy and travel through stargazing trips, celestial events, and science-themed exploration.

In her upcoming talk, "From Dark Skies to Space Travel: The Guide to Astrotourism," she shares how travellers can experience the universe—from observing meteor showers to planning astronomy-inspired adventures. We are very excited about this talk and delighted with how it will tie in beautifully with the Mayo Dark Sky Festival towards the end of next month!
