As the seasons shift, so do our energies. According to Ayurveda - yoga's sister science - from the end of August we move into the Vata (air/ wind) season. Ayurveda recognises three dynamic qualities to our energy - Vata (air/ wind), Pitta (fire/heat) and Kapha (earth/water). In the Autumn, Vata prevails with its characteristics of dry, cool, creative, active and, if we don't ground ourselves well - manic and ungrounded.
Together, we’ll explore how to stay grounded and nourished as the seasons shift.
The afternoon will include:
🪷 A Vata-balancing yoga practice, with tips to support your energy and wellbeing through seasonal transitions
🪷 A dosha quiz to discover your unique Ayurvedic constitution—and how to bring it into balance
🪷 Tasty Ayurvedic food and drink, designed to soothe Vata energy, with recipes to take home
🪷 A deeply relaxing sound bath with singing bowls to restore and settle your nervous system
Come for the learning, stay for the rest, connection, and community.
