Où – et comment – nous voulons habiter en vieillissant? Nos quartiers, nos immeubles, nos villes sauront-ils s’adapter à nos besoins?
La soirée Où vieillir? débute par la projection du documentaire Where We Grow Older (CCA, 2023, 30 min), qui explore comment l’architecture et l’urbanisme peuvent répondre aux défis du vieillissement démographique.
La projection sera suivie d’une table ronde centrée sur le contexte québécois, réunissant des intervenants issus de l’anthropologie, de l’activisme, de l’architecture, de l’urbanisme, du développement immobilier et des politiques municipales. Ensemble, ils réfléchiront à l’avenir de l’habitat au Québec : quelles formes, quelles politiques et quels modèles peuvent permettre à chacun de vieillir chez soi – ou ensemble?

The evening begins with a screening of the documentary Where We Grow Older (CCA, 2023, 30 min), which explores how architecture and urban planning can respond to the challenges of an aging population.
The screening will be followed by a roundtable discussion focused on the Quebec context, bringing together speakers from anthropology, activism, architecture, urban planning, real estate development, and municipal policy. Together, they will reflect on the future of housing in Quebec: which forms, policies, and models can allow everyone to age in place—or together?
