Check-in begins at 8:30 AM, and the session will begin promptly at 9:00 AM.
This training is designed for all parish volunteers and staff who support the safe assembly of parish liturgies and events—including ushers, greeters, sacristans, clergy, and others entrusted with creating a secure worship environment. Registrants must be at least 18 years of age or be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
The session will focus on:
Warning behaviors that may influence an individual’s decision to commit a harmful act
Risk factors, triggers, and mitigating factors
Environmental and personal stressors
Strategies that could help prevent acts of targeted violence
