FALL REGULAR 6-WEEK CLASS SCHEDULE
WEDNESDAYS – SEPTEMBER 17th – OCTOBER 22nd / 10am-12pm
Individual classes are $25/session/child.
Six-Week Programs are $132 (Saves $18!) if purchased upfront, they can also be purchased as individual classes.

INSTRUCTIONS: To attend all 6-weeks, choose the first date (Sept. 17th) and pick the 6-Week Program Ticket, fill out details, click pay. To pick individual dates, chose the $25 Junior Zookeepers Ticket and follow the standard prompts.*
Reptile Basics
September 17th – Do Lizards make good Pets? – Always do your research before you ever get a pet. Some lizards make great first-time pets, while others may not. Come learn about a variety of lizards in this fun class! (Animal handling opportunity: Small and Large lizards)
September 24th – Alligators & Caiman, Oh my! – We’ll meet and greet with several cool species of crocodilian and learn about their history and benefits to society. (Animal handling opportunity: crocodiles, alligators and caiman (mouths taped))
October 1st – Land vs Water – Turtles, Tortoises & Amphibians -** In this class we will discuss which of these animals live on land, on water or on both! Find out what makes a one a turtles or a tortoise.(Animal handling opportunity: turtles & tortoises)
October 8th – Slimy or Shiny? – Snakes – Did you know Egyptian royalty used to wear snakes like jewelry? Come learn about colubrids, python and boa species, where they can be found, what they like to eat and other cool things. (Animal handling opportunity: Milksnakes, sand boas, ball pythons, etc)
October 15th – Design & Building – Habitats – We’ll talk about reptile habitats in the wild and then learn about how to set up a one or two different types of typical pet reptile enclosures. (Animal handling: various small reptiles)
October 22nd – Slither, Crawl, Scurry – Reptile & Invertebrate Locomotion – How do snakes move compared to turtles? How do Spiders hold on to walls? In this class we’ll study how different reptiles & bugs get from point A to point B. (Handling opportunity: snakes, lizards, tortoises & tarantulas)
