Halcott & Rusk Bushwhacks

Registration Required. A two-peak day (2 separate hikes) tackling a pair of trailless Catskill 35ers. We’ll start with a 3-mile bushwhack to the summit of Halcott Mountain, climbing steep forested slopes with no marked trail. After returning to the cars, we’ll make a short drive to the Spruceton Road Trailhead for another 3-mile bushwhack up Rusk Mountain. Two rugged off-trail ascents in one day—perfect for hikers looking to sharpen their navigation skills and bag more Catskill peaks.
