The West Seneca Chamber of Commerce will hold its next one-minute networking event at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, at Value Vision, located at 2305 Union Road, Suite 2, in West Seneca. Doors will open at 8:45 a.m. The event is open to both Chamber members and nonmembers, and reservations are required. Light refreshments will be provided.
Oct. 15 is also National Chamber of Commerce Day, and the Chamber is asking attendees of this event to do something special for their community during the networking event.
“If they are able, we’re asking attendees to bring a donation of canned goods or nonperishable food products for the West Seneca Community Food Pantry, or a gift card or basket item that will be used during one of our upcoming holiday auctions to support local nonprofit organizations,” said Joe Kirchmyer, executive director of the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce. “Our one-minute networking events are very popular, and in just one hour I think we can do something very positive for our community.
“These fun and casual networking events have become much more popular since we began holding them at member locations a couple of years ago. We’re always on the lookout for new ways to showcase our member businesses and organizations, and we’ve really hit it out of the park with these simple but productive networking events. Attendance continues to grow, meeting after meeting!”
At these meetings, participants have approximately one minute to introduce themselves and give a brief update on their business or organization. In addition to having a one-minute spotlight, attendees have extra time to network with other business and organizational leaders following the meeting. Participants are invited to bring business cards and/or promotional items to share with other guests.
