The West Seneca Chamber of Commerce is currently accepting nominations for its 79th annual Community Awards Dinner. The purpose of this event is to publicly recognize individuals, businesses and organizations that make significant contributions to the quality of life in West Seneca. An awards dinner will take place on Feb. 11 at Kotecki’s Grandview Grove.
Nominations are sought in the following categories:
Citizen of the Year: Nominee must be a resident of West Seneca for the last five years or more who has put forth tremendous effort for the benefit of our community.
Educator of the Year: Minimum of five years experience in a private or public school within the Town of West Seneca, or living in West Seneca for a minimum of five years while working in education outside of town. Teachers, administrators, school board members, etc. are eligible for this award.
Business of the Year: In recognition of community/industry leadership, nominees must be in business for a minimum of five years within the Town of West Seneca.
Community Service Organization of the Year: Must be a nonprofit organization based in and serving the Town of West Seneca for a minimum of five years.
Gerald Hathaway Young Entrepreneur of the Year: Nominees must live in or operate a business in West Seneca, be 30 years of age or younger, exhibit a strong entrepreneurial spirit, and be in business for at least one year.
A sixth award for Chamber Member of the Year is determined by the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce executive committee. This award will be presented to a deserving West Seneca Chamber of Commerce member (individual or business/organization).
