The West Sacramento Police Department is proud to offer the California POST Entry-Level Law Enforcement Test Battery-POST PELLETB Written Exam at City Hall in West Sacramento.

The exam is free to attend, and you do not need to be an active applicant in our recruitment process to test with our agency and receive a PelletB score. Limited seating is available.

The PELLETB is a multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank written examination designed to measure reading and writing ability. Applicants are given 2 ½ hours to complete the PELLETB.

While test takers may take the PELLET B multiple times to achieve the desired score, California POST prohibits test takers from testing more than one time in a 30-day period. Taking the test within 30 days of a prior POST PELLETB examination will result in invalidation of test results.

To comply with California POST security measures, we are required to view your government-issued photo ID for the exam.

Please plan to arrive on time. Check-in is at 9:00 am and the event will begin promptly at 9:15am. Recruiters from the Police Department will be on hand to answer questions and speak to the event attendees with a presentation prior to the test.
