Based in California these last five years, Aminah’s latest project is a 20 minute short starring Dylan Kussman and Allelon Ruggiero, who played Richard Cameron and Steven Meeks, respectively, in Dead Poets Society. This is the first film in which they have appeared together since the Peter Weir beloved classic.
Filmed in Joshua Tree, We Can Never Go Back is a dystopian drama set only a few years in the future. It examines brotherhood, madness, endurance, loss, and how men survive in a world without women, and sparked the idea for an original television series. Post audio was largely done here in Perth, with composer Ash Gibson Greig scoring the film.
