🎉 Join us on Tuesday, October 7 for the book launch of Women of Courage and Conviction! Featuring Newton writer Dorothy Anger, along with four of the book's women, also Newton residents, as they share stories of their extraordinary lives.
In this inspiring new book, Dorothy brings to light the remarkable life stories of five women in our city whom she met through Newton at Home. These women’s experiences span continents and eras: one walked from Newton to Washington, D.C. in a “Walk for Peace”; another grew up in Argentina during the Perón regime; two survived their childhoods as Jews under the Nazi regime; and the fifth became a global leader in women’s reproductive health and health systems management.
Come hear about the journeys of these courageous women, celebrate their resilience and achievements, and honor the power of storytelling to connect us across generations.
