Our American Family is a raw and deeply human documentary that shines a light on addiction, healing, and the strength of families walking the path to recovery. Whether you're in recovery, supporting a loved one, or simply seeking stories of hope and resilience, this film will move and inspire you.

🎙 Special Guest Appearance: We’re honored to welcome Linda Geraghty, the mother featured in Our American Family, for an exclusive in-person talk following the screening.

Linda's Bio: Linda Geraghty is a grandmother, mother, teacher and nationally recognized voice for families navigating the complex realities of generational trauma and addiction. Her journey is marked by heartbreak, healing and unwavering compassion. She has become a lifeline for others facing the same storm.

Her story is featured in the award-winning documentary Our American Family which follows the path of addiction and recovery alongside her daughter, Nicole. At a time when many retreat into silence, Linda let cameras into her home. She invites us to sit at her dinner table, ride along in the car and join a family vacation revealing in only the way the Geraghtys can, the minute-by-minute impact of generational addiction.

Two years after the release of Our American Family, Linda suffered the unimaginable loss of her son, Christopher, to a fentanyl overdose. And still, she shows up for herself, her family and those living within the chaos and confusion of addiction. For Linda, open conversation is essential to understanding the disease and healing.

Linda is a trauma-informed yoga teacher (E-RYT) and the creator of NECTAR (Nurturing Energy Cultivates Trauma/Addiction Recovery), a 16-hour training program for yoga instructors, counselors, and healthcare professionals. She travels the country for film screenings, mindfulness workshops, and panel discussions with clinicians, students, parents and people in recovery.

She has been invited to engage with audiences Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, the University of Pennsylvania, Penn State University, Caron Treatment Centers, the National Association of Social Workers, the American Society of Addiction Medicine and many others.

In 2025, Linda became certified as a Family Recovery Specialist (CFRS) and is currently pursuing dual degrees in Writing Studies and Fine Arts at Rosemont College with a focus on creative nonfiction. She embraces storytelling as a tool for healing and advocacy.
