Ash Wednesday Service

As Lent begins, we gather for a time of worship where we remember that from dust we come and to dust we will return. During this service, we receive the ashes on our forehead as a sign of our humility before God. All are welcome to participate or just witness this service. The imposition of ashes serves only as a symbolic reminder of our need for God. Much like in the Old Testament, those under conviction would cover themselves with sackcloth and ash, we receive the ashes with the simple charge to "Repent, and believe the Gospel."
