Every Community Needs a Heart! - a center where the Community can meet, plan, learn, play, and celebrate together.
The Oak Lodge Community will have such a place when the Concord Park and Community Center open in October of this year, but it will need the care of the whole community to Keep the Heart Beating!
When the Community Center opens in October, the North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District (NCPRD) will open the Center to the public and offer drop-in programs without charge, Monday through Friday mornings. Fee-based recreational programs will be scheduled for the afternoons and evenings.
Due to a budget shortfall, NCPRD can only fund no-charge drop-in programming through June 2026. However, with the support of the Friends of Oak Grove Community Council, members of the Oak Lodge area are stepping up to ensure that drop-in programming continues beyond the 2025-2026 budget year.
You can be a part of the effort!
The campaign officially begins with A Sneak Peek Fundraising Event planned for October 11th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Concord Park and Community Center. The event will include tours of the facility, which does not open to the public until October 18th, entertainment by The New Century Players, music from our own local band, Howard Wade and the Free-Range Humans, hospitality, and an opportunity to further support the Concord Park and Community Center.
Tickets are $50/person, and can be purchased here:
