🐾 Run, Walk, and Celebrate the Human-Animal Bond! 🐾
Join us for the 2025 Dr. Skip Jackson Dog Jog on Saturday, September 20, 2025 outside Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine’s Lynn Hall!
This fun and meaningful 5K invites participants to run or walk alongside their own dogs — or even adoptable shelter dogs who are looking for forever homes. Named in honor of Dr. Horace “Skip” Jackson, a beloved Purdue professor emeritus, this annual tradition supports Priority 4 Paws, our shelter medicine program providing high-quality care for animals in need while training the next generation of veterinarians.

✨ Special This Year ✨
We’re also celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Continuum sculpture — an icon of Purdue Veterinary Medicine and the human-animal bond. Festivities will include dog-friendly bubbles, fun surprises, and a chance to gather as a community to honor this milestone!
In 2024, over 120 people and 50+ dogs joined us, making it one of our most successful events yet. This year, we’re working with local shelters again to bring adoptable pups to the race — and in years past, many found forever homes within weeks!
Don’t miss your chance to join this beloved tradition, get moving with your furry friend, and support shelter animals in Indiana.
