THE ORIGINAL FARMERS MARKET LOS ANGELES TO HOST THE 14TH ANNUAL METROPOLITAN FASHION WEEK 2025 OPENING NIGHT SHOW
A Spectacular Evening of Fashion & Heroes
The highly anticipated 14th annual Opening Night of Metropolitan Fashion Week is set to return to The Original Farmers Market Los Angeles at 3rd and Fairfax on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at 6:00PM. This year's event will be held in front of the Market’s iconic Clock Tower and promises to showcase creativity, talent, and innovation.
This year’s celebration introduces “Heroes on the Runway,” a powerful and inspiring tribute to our community’s real-life heroes. In a heartwarming fashion segment, firefighters, EMTs, First Responders and emergency personnel will trade in their uniforms for high fashion. Each first responder will be paired with a talented fashion designer, creating one-of -a -kind looks that blend professional pride with cutting-edge style. As a thank you for their participation, each modeling first responder will receive a designer suit, tuxedo or dress; a gift card from the Original Farmers Market; a swag bag filled with exclusive gifts and tickets to the Metropolitan Fashion Week events.
The evening will also feature the highly anticipated Whimsical Surrealism fashion segment, presented by Metropolitan Fashion Men’s Wear in collaboration with Giovanni Testi. This imaginative showcase will fuse Avant Garde artistry with modern menswear, offering guests an extraordinary visual experience.
Metropolitan Fashion Week continues to set the stage for boundary-pushing fashion and compelling storytelling, uniting fashion, community, and culture in one spectacular night.

This year’s event goes beyond the runway, supporting youth affected by the wildfires in Altadena, CA by donating books to local schools and community events through the Kiwanis Literacy Club of Southern California.
