The Tiki Tube Amps Electric Sock Hop is a pop-up immersive sensory experience.
The Electric Sock Hop is a weeklong pop-up that brings the Tiki Tube Experience to life. Experience the magic, joy, and whimsy of our concept home, a room built for real living.
The Electric Sock Hop will feature work from unique local artists, with furniture set to match. Enjoy our pinball machine, classic Super Nintendo, lava lamp, and more as you make yourself at home. The idea is to relax, enjoy, and bring your best self. Maybe meet a friendly stranger. And ultimately reconnect with the magic within yourself.
⏰ HOW:
We will be open from noon to 10 pm daily.
Daytime hours are general admission - come on by, grab a coffee and pastry, and hang out. Private demonstrations of the Tiki Tube Amps are also available for you to run your own music through our tiki systems. Schedule a private listening demo.
Evenings will feature private, ticketed events. You must purchase a ticket to attend an evening event.

Featuring internationally renowned DJ The Gaslamp Killer dropping his exotic cuts through our new Atomic Tiki Hifi Speakers. Plus Designer Tarot Readings by Julie, reader to (and of) the stars. Come celebrate the kickoff of the Electric Sock Hop in style. Come early, the party wraps at 10!
Frampton Comes Alive! hosted by Tiki Tube Amps founder Desmond Bowe.
We will be turning out the lights (except the lava lamp) and listening to the entirety of this classic Peter Frampton album (the best-selling album of 1976) at high volume. This is the only way to listen to music. Don't miss it. Record drops at 8 pm, no late entry allowed!
Adrian is the host of the Inside the Desert Oasis Room podcast and a longtime Tiki aficionado. He'll discuss the history of tiki art, the styles of the different islands, and the mythology behind tikis. We'll also have colorful tiki drinks for you :)
Private screening of the classic surf film Point Break Movie with Keanu Reeves.
We'll have Hawaiian cocktails and surf music going all night. Swing by and hang ten.
Come by after work and have a game of pinball.
🎟️ A ticket entitles you to admission for the evening and one free drink. Evening parties are 21+
👉 A ticket for one night is not a valid entry for a different night! Be sure to buy a ticket for the correct evening.
🕰️ Don't be late! Parties wrap at 10, so be sure you're fashionably early.
❤️ 30% of ticket sales will be donated to LA City Animal Shelters. The shelters are chronically underfunded and overworked. The folks there care a lot about animals, and we need to help them. I adopted my own cat from the shelter.
