Midsummer at Maplehurst with Christie Purifoy and Kimberly Coyle

Our weekend begins Thursday evening, June 19 and concludes Sunday, June 22, 2025.

We have designed this getaway to nourish weary women in both body and soul by gathering with other beauty seekers for delicious food, beautiful flowers, scenic drives, inspiring art, vintage treasure hunts, and—no doubt—laughter and good conversation.

Together, we will fill the long hours of June’s high summer days with activities that help us gather the goodness around us. We’ll picnic, roam gardens, linger in a book lover’s paradise, and drift back in time as we discover the storied charms of Pennsylvania’s famed Brandywine River Valley, the same landscape that inspired three generations of Wyeth family painters.

• Admission to world-famous Longwood Gardens
• Entrance to the Brandywine River Museum and its collection of Wyeth family art
• A Midsummer Eve’s feast at Christie’s home Maplehurst
• Mornings at Maplehurst (with optional contemplative meditations led by Kimberly in the Black Barn)
• A visit to historic Baldwin’s Book Barn
• An afternoon exploring charming downtown Kennett Square
• An evening of poetry and bubbles
• A pop-up shop in the Black Barn filled with Christie and Kimberly’s favorite vintage and thrifted finds
• Private transportation for our excursions
• And a few more special surprises you won’t want to miss!

We can’t escape the hard realities of life, but we can tend to ourselves with care and nourish the parts of us that love beauty, nature, art, good words and gathering around a table with other women.

This intimate weekend is a brief respite to nourish your soul with twelve like-minded women for whatever work lies ahead of you this year.

Midsummer Dates and Price:

• Thursday evening June 19th until Sunday morning June 22nd.
• Total Cost: $1150, payable in two installments

What’s Included:

• Admission to Longwood and Brandywine Art Museum
• Private transportation to all weekend events
• Thursday evening charcuterie, Friday’s Midsummer Feast, Saturday’s picnic lunch and dinner, Sunday morning mimosas at Maplehurst.

What’s NOT Included:

• Transportation to and from Maplehurst
• Lodging
• Breakfast
• Friday’s lunch
• Optional trip to the DuPont Estate Winterthur on Sunday after mimosas at Maplehurst (you’ll arrange for your ticket and transportation)

Capacity:

• We have space for twelve women.

Payments:

• Secure your spot with a $300 down payment on eventbrite
• Balance of $850 due by May 5 and may be paid by check or via Venmo with an additional $5 fee for processing.

Please Note Our Refund Policy:

This weekend requires us to purchase advance tickets and put down non-refundable deposits. Because of this, tickets are non-refundable unless the trip is cancelled by hosts Christie and Kimberly. Your ticket is non-refundable, but you are welcome to give it away or sell it.

Please do NOT make any non-refundable travel plans/accomodations before receiving an announcement from us the first week of May confirming the weekend is happening. We need to make allowances for unexpected venue issues or cancellations.
