� *What is Kirtan?*
Kirtan is an opportunity to sing and chant ancient mantras. �
The word mantra literally means “to free the mind” — so Kirtan is all about using sacred sound to let go of the mental noise and reconnect with something deeper.
Over time, it’s been modernised and infused with fresh energy — think of it as a mantra rave ��
A space where we sing holy names, surrounded by beautiful sounds and instruments, and in that, we find joy, freedom, and a natural high that lifts the spirit.
� *Who is Ananda?* @anandamonet
Ananda is a kirtan artist and singer-songwriter who creates music for the soul. She grew up in the Bhakti tradition and has a deep passion for mantra music and sharing kirtan with a variety of audiences. She performs alongside Radhika Das and Jahnavi Harrison at major theatres around the world. She also regularly appears at prominent UK festivals, including Mind Body Spirit Festival, Om Yoga Show and other large-scale events.
