A Voice Recital: Troubled Waters

Please come and support this recital of tragic texts and vocal repertoire, performed by Braedon O’Hara, Bass-Baritone, and Sinae Yun, Piano. We are exploring the troubled waters spanning from an opera selection from Giuseppe Verdi’s I Vespri Siciliani, and art songs from romantic composers Carl Loewe and Gabriel Fauré. This recital will also feature the song cycle Shadow of the Blues by John Musto blending the classical and blues traditions; exploring the historical and emotional struggles of the African American community.

The recital will be on Sunday, November 23rd at 2 pm at Ware Family Recital Hall on the campus of West Chester University. Parking is free outside of Swope Music Building.
