Course Overview:
The Polite Puppy Group Course helps puppies build focus, manners, and confidence in a real-world setting. Classes take place inside an active pet store environment, allowing puppies to learn how to work calmly around people, dogs, sounds, and everyday distractions. This course emphasizes structure over
chaos and provides skills that translate directly to home and public life.
What We’ll Cover:
● Engagement & Communication – Building focus using clear marker words (yes, good, no) and strengthening handler relevance.
● Leash Handling & Walking Skills – Proper leash use, preventing pulling, and moving calmly through public spaces.
● Threshold Manners – Polite entrances, exits, and impulse control around doors and transitions.
● Recall Games – Fun, age-appropriate games to build reliable recall foundations.
● Basic Obedience Foundations – Sit, down, duration, and follow-through around distractions.
● Indirect Socialization – Calm exposure to people and dogs while learning neutrality and confidence.
Who This Course Is For:
● Puppies 9 weeks to 11 months of age
● Up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations
● Appropriate for a group learning environment
● Ideal for puppies working on manners, focus, and confidence
● Dogs requiring more individualized behavioral support may be better suited for private training
