JUNETEENTH CELEBRATION AT THE CENTER FOR SPIRITUAL AWARENESS

Theme: Celebrating Freedom Through the Arts

 The Center for Spiritual Awareness Ujima Ministry's free Juneteenth Celebration is scheduled for June 15 2025 in West Sacramento. This family-friendly event will feature an afternoon filled with creativity connection and community. The activities will include: a Song Circle Dancing Poetry Yoga Acting Painting Beading and more all facilitated by experienced professionals.

 Officially celebrated on June 19th Juneteenth is the oldest-known celebration marking the end of slavery in the United States first recognized by the state of Texas in 1865. On June 17 2021 President Joseph R. Biden signed the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act designating Juneteenth as a federal holiday.
