Heritage Open Days - Hemingfield Colliery

Volunteers will be on hand to provide site tours. Come and explore this rare survival of one of Earl Fitzwilliam's colliery sites. View interpretation boards or just enjoy the garden at Pump House Cottage.

Local history and mining history materials will available for purchase with a second hand bookstall.

Learn about the history of the Elsecar Branch of the Dearne and Dove and also see our history displays on site and down at RSPB Old Moor.
