East of England Ambulance First Aid, Bleeding Control and CPR Training Drop In Sessions

The East of England ambulance service are running free community workshops on lifesaving skills. These sessions focus on two key areas: CPR and haemorrhage control. The aim is to give members of the public the knowledge and confidence to act quickly in an emergency—whether that’s recognising and responding to a cardiac arrest or controlling severe bleeding before professional help arrives. The workshops are practical, hands-on, and designed for all ages. Participants are given the chance to practice CPR, and learn simple but effective techniques for managing catastrophic bleeding, including the use of improvised methods and tourniquets.

“These skills are simple, but they save lives. By running CPR and haemorrhage control workshops in the community, we want to make sure that if someone goes into cardiac arrest, or suffers a serious injury, there’s always a confident bystander ready to step in. It only takes a few minutes to learn, but the impact could last a lifetime.”
