The Basics of Fermentation

Come and join Mandy Sandbach of SOULfully SOIL at the River John Community garden located at the Community Support Society/Food and Health center in River John Nova scotia to learn the Basics of how to ferment.. The fermentation basics of sauerkraut and other lacto ferments

Participants will go home with knowledge and resources to support their unique fermenting journey.The River John Community Garden is in its 2nd year of growth and as we continue to expand and serve our community, we would like to offer these " by donation" workshops and classes to help community learning. One of our mandates is to increase knowledge and skill sharing in the areas of sustainable growing, food harvesting and preservation.

This workshop will be held Saturday October 11th with 10 am start on site at 2456 River John station road in Welsford. The class will run from 10-1130 am. This workshop will be indoors and demonstration styleThis workshop is being held by donation with a suggested donation of $15 going towards future workshops, skills shares, garden supplies and programming. The idea for these knowledge shares, is to offer barrier free programming. If you are in a position to be able to offer a donation of cash or food, we would gladly accept. If you are not you are absolutely welcome to attend.
