Get ready to discover the stories behind the rocks that make up the beautiful city of Wells. Join geologist Stephen Thompson as he takes you on a scenic walk, pointing out key geological features and explaining the significance of different building stones found in the area. This event is perfect for geology enthusiasts and anyone curious about the Earth beneath our feet. There will be an optional free visit to view the "Menhir Exhibition" in Wells and Mendip Museum, photographs inspired by the geology of the Mendip landscape and special qualities.
Some challenging areas for those with mobility issues. Please wear sensible footwear and weather appropriate clothing. Booking required. £8 per person. Places are limited.
