Next Sunday we are having a pre awards party to celebrate the legends in our community.
30th November 3-6 at DVB.

Monday 1st Dec keep your eyes peeled for a yellow sunburst box from Double Vision Brewing (it's there new box for the up and coming cider) I grabbed a few as they are really eye catching and perfect for my needs. We are using them as BALLOT BOXES.
Shaking up the awards this year as I'm on crutches after surgery and want more locals involved and benefiting from The Kurae Community Awards.
So let's start. If you want to donate please reach out to me, we would love to have you on board. Keen for a hairdresser to help with Let there be pamper or any sponsorship. I went shopping today, spent eeck a few hundred on spot prizes and bits for YOU and our future winners.
Here's the deal. We are having 8 categories this year. 7 will be run through the ballot which will be located at New World Miramar , @miramar library, Wellington Compounding Pharmacy @Seatoun community hall, Bridgestone Tyre Centre Miramar with others to come.
YELLOW Boxes will be out from the 1st December. Pens and paper will be there and we ask ONE VOTE PER DAY PER CATEGORY.
These categories are:
1. BEST TEACHER.
(This is the ONLY award where they don't have to live within the peninsula, tho MUST teach here). Sponsored by Bridgestone Tyre Center Miramar and Double Vision Brewing.
2. OFFICE SHOUT.
(Nominate a office or place of business within the peninsula for an amazing LUNCH shout from our mates Souvlaki at Acropolis valued at $100
3. Most Helpful neighbour
(Nominate and tell us why you have the best neighbour and never know they may take you. Sponsored by Chocolate Frog Cafe and a wee parcel of real chocolates to the winner and a sneaky 6 pack from DVB OR A Vino from us. You decide!!

I brought a couple of LEGO boxes for our younger ones.
Wellington International Airport have given us bags of biscuits and chippies. And I brought over 50 chocolate bars.
