High Altar - Veneration Of St Denis Tour

HIGH ALTAR is a two piece semi-improv instrumental assemblage, made up of Brendan Moran (Hasselhoff Expt, Subliminals, etc) and Taipua Adams (Terror of the Deep, The Perms).

HIGH ALTAR are an intense crackle of spectral sounds; a potent audio tool built on a bare-bones structure of rhythm section components and added electronic timbre which alights a crooked path trailing sonic vortices with oscillatory behavior. In short - drum kit, bass guitar, atmospheric electronics. Sometimes heavy, sometimes fast and punchy.

Daniel Beban performs on a number of different instruments and builds sound sculptures and invented instruments out of found objects and recycled materials. Drummer Riki Neihana Pirihi’s work spans multiple disciplines, including composition, performance, sound art, production, and academic research.
