Artists for Nature: Imaginal Disc

Enter a portal to a realm where insects meet art. Here, each insect is cherished for their unique beauty, their importance to the ecosystem and their marvelous life processes.

Through their dazzling video artworks, local artist Em Flux shares their queer, autistic worldview of the invertebrate world. They will be sharing a number of invertebrate-based video artworks and discuss the queer ecologies of insects, posthumanism, and how art can be a tool to celebrate biodiversity. In these artworks, even the least appreciated creatures get a chance to shine!

This event will be held in the Rātā Café Balcony on the second floor of the Visitor's Centre. Doors Open 5:15pm, overflow parking is available on Birdwood Street.
