Artists and their love of plants - Part 1 - Guided Walk

All over the world, and over centuries, artists have painted, wood-blocked and carved trees and other plants, and used them in other art forms. Many of these plants can be found in the Wellington Botanic Gardens. On this gentle 60-minute walk, starting and ending at the Founders’ Entrance in Glenmore Street, we will look at those plants and pictures of the artworks related to them. Artists will include Vincent van Gogh, Hiroshige, and New Zealanders Don Binney and Rei Hamon.

Meet at the Founders’ Entrance, Glenmore Street.
Cost: $5 (cash only, please). or free for Friends.

This is part of the regular walks run by the Friends of the Wellington Botanic Garden, they run twice monthly throughout the year with a different topic every time.
