Focasa Circus ist die erste und renommierteste New Circus-Company aus Taiwan. »Moss« ist eine Zusammenarbeit mit dem binationalen deutsch-taiwanesischen Choreografie-Duo Peculiar Man. Grundlage der Produktion ist eine fiktionale Geschichte von fünf Artisten des Focasa Circus, die als Jugendfreunde zusammen aufwuchsen, in den Hinterhöfen Taipehs Straßenzirkus »spielten«, gemeinsam die Zirkusschule besuchten und heute das Herz der Kompanie bilden. »Moss« erzählt diese Geschichte als poetisches Märchen über das prekäre Leben von Kids in der Großstadt – voller ausgelassener anarchischer Kraft und leiser Melancholie.
Jonglage, Equilibristik, Seilkunst, fernöstliche Körper- und Zirkuselemente sowie Martial-Arts-Bühnenstunts fügen sich zu einer beeindruckenden Choreografie zusammen.

Focasa Circus is the first and most renowned new circus company from Taiwan. “Moss” is a collaboration with the binational German-Taiwanese choreography duo Peculiar Man. The production is based on a fictional story of five artists from Focasa Circus who grew up together as childhood friends, “played” street circus in the backyards of Taipei, attended circus school together and now form the heart of the company. “Moss” tells this story as a poetic fairy tale about the precarious lives of kids in the big city - full of exuberant anarchic power and quiet melancholy.
Juggling, equilibristics, rope art, Far Eastern body and circus elements as well as martial arts stage stunts come together to create an impressive choreography.
