We Do RecoverED Meal Support Group

Welcome to the We Do RecoverED Meal Support Group! Join us for a warm and welcoming meal support group where we come together to share our experiences, struggles, and successes on the path to recovery. This event will take place on Mondays at 6pm at Webster Hills United Methodist Church and Preschool. Come connect with others who understand what you're going through and find the support you need. Let's journey towards recovery together!

Group Guidelines:

¨ Safe Space: What is shared in the group remains confidential. Participants should respect each other’s privacy and personal stories.

¨ No Judgement: Atmosphere is free from judgment, where members feel safe to share their experiences and feelings.

¨ Structured Meals: Meals should be based on individual meal plan, ensuring meals are balanced and adequate for personal nutritional needs.

¨ Meal Completion Focus: Expectation that all participants complete their meals during sessions. This encourages accountability and supports healthy eating patterns.

¨ Distraction-Free Environment: Minimize distractions during meals, such as electronic devices, to help participants focus on the eating experience and their feelings associated with food.

¨ Individual Goals: Each participant is encouraged to set a personal goal for the meal. Share these goals within the group for mutual support and accountability.

¨ Meal Check In: Time at the end of the meal will be provided for processing feedback, challenges, and successes around the meal.

These guidelines aim to foster a supportive and structured environment for individuals with eating disorders and disordered eating focused on meal completion and adequacy. By emphasizing collaboration, mindfulness, and accountability, this group can help participants build healthier relationships with food and support their recovery journey.
